I'm Denzel.

Designer, creative consultant, and builder of ideas at the intersection of architecture, technology, and storytelling.

Denzel Hill

My background is rooted in architecture.

I studied architecture at Columbia University, where I also played football, and I've spent the past decade developing my skills in architectural design, visualization, project coordination, and the process of turning ideas into things that can actually be built.

Football gave me something architecture school didn't: leadership under pressure, clear communication with people relying on you, and the grit to keep showing up when the work gets hard. Those intangibles carry into how I run projects today — staying composed when a site throws a curveball, communicating clearly with clients and contractors, and doing the unglamorous work that a good outcome actually requires.

Today, my work operates across three disciplines: Residential Design, Aerial Imagery, and Creative Consulting.

Through residential design, I help homeowners move from an idea for their property toward a thoughtful, buildable design. I'm interested in more than producing drawings — I care about understanding the site, identifying constraints early, coordinating the moving pieces, and creating a design that makes sense for the people who will ultimately live in it.

Through aerial imagery and emerging technologies, I help architects, builders, developers, and other professionals capture the work that often goes unseen. From construction progress and site documentation to FPV flythroughs, photogrammetry, and project storytelling, I'm interested in using technology to make the process of building more visible — and more valuable.

And through creative consulting, I help people and organizations think about how they present themselves, communicate their work, and build a stronger connection with the people they want to reach.

Across all three, there's a common philosophy:

Good design isn't just about what gets made. It's about how people understand, experience, and value what gets made.

Under One Sun Creative Consulting

That philosophy is at the center of Under One Sun. I'm building a practice that brings together design thinking, technical skill, visual storytelling, and genuine collaboration — not simply to produce deliverables, but to help clients see their projects and their own work more clearly.

I'm especially interested in the space between disciplines: where architecture meets technology, where construction meets storytelling, and where a good idea becomes something tangible.

One philosophy. Three disciplines. Within it all, a dedication to my craft.
